CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
OFFALY INTEGRATED LOCAL DEVELOPMENT CLG wishes to recruit a Chief
Executive Officer (CEO). This challenging role offers the opportunity
to work in partnership to promote rural development and social
inclusion, build local enterprise and employment, support communities,
and improve access to services, education, culture, and recreation
opportunities.
Reporting directly to the board, and working in close collaboration
with the chairperson, board, management team, and programme teams, the
CEO has overall responsibility for the strategic management and the
day-to-day operational management of Offaly Integrated Local
Development CLG.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
* Educated to degree or post graduate level in a relevant
discipline.
* A detailed understanding of the local development sector in
Ireland.
* Minimum 3 years’ co-ordination or management experience in a
similar sized organisation or sector.
* Experience of working with substantial budgets and a good
understanding of financial management of public funding.
* Demonstrable commitment to development, equality and social change
and experience of working in partnership with statutory bodies, local
government, and Government departments.
* Knowledge and understanding of corporate and charities’
governance.
* Leadership, interpersonal, influencing, analytical and networking
skills.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, judgement, problem solving
and decision-making skills.
* Well-developed communications and IT skills.
SALARY
Remuneration is based on a salary scale (€**Apply on the

CONTRACT
Permanent contract, subject to successful completion of a six-month
probation period.
